The first official year of GSL after the COVID shutdown, and probably the best championship game in GSL history. After a 2-2 halftime and last minute Green score to tie it up at 4, then close calls for both teams in overtime, Green won in PK’s over Brandon’s Purple. Green had one of the strongest teams post COVID, Purple had Brandon the Ex D1 Clemson player and still semi-amateur player.
Sort of a short year with such an immediate turn around after the Fall championship of 2023. Green was strong all (half/Spring) season but Red with Brandon handily won the championship 5-0 in an “any given sunday” sort of game. Added new tables, new nets, starting doing “league balls” given all the pear tree popping…

Orange was strong all year and Red made a strong final push to make the championship. Red, wearing light blue alternates, won in a hard fought game. Added umbrellas, removed the super heavy, mud-logged old gold posts. Automated huge amounts of the rostering/scheduling.

Orange led most of the year until red took over with Brandon in the Spring, Purple made a heroic comeback and it was tied between Green/Purple/Orange at the end before Green pulled away. Green won the championship with an overwhelmingly complete team. Played against Capital Hill Parents League and Applied Physics Lab, won both 3-0 and 6-4 respectively. Tracked expenses and wrote tons of guides/checklists for running the league/website/etc. Dropped price to $30 per season and made interns free.

Moved the field for the Fall, CAD’d official dimensions. Massive clean up of the sheds, both mowers completely broke down during the Fall.
